Water shutdown – Westport/Carters Beach
Consumers on the Westport/Carters Beach water supply are advised that the supply will be on low pressure on Monday 9 September from 10.00am until approximately 3.00 pm.
The reason for the low pressure is to allow for urgent repairs to the trunk main. Normal pressure will be resumed as soon as possible.
Some consumers, particularly near the ends of the reticulation, may experience very low pressure and minimal water flow. In this event consumers need to be prepared by storing sufficient water for use during this period.
Consumers are advised that mains flushing will be carried out following the reinstatement of full pressure. However, if any resident experiences slightly discoloured water they should run an outside hose tap for 10-15 minutes.
Council apologises for any inconvenience to consumers.
